Advance directives and care planning talk set for Oct. 16

Hope — Advance Directives and Advance Care Planning will be the topics for a talk at the Hope Library, 443 Camden Road, Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 6:30 p.m..

The presentation will ask participants to consider what life-sustaining treatment they would or would not want in the event of a life threatening emergency; whether they have identified an agent whom they trust to act on their behalf and if they have prepared an advance directive and discussed their preferences with family members and doctors.

The presenter will be Jane Conrad, a retired lawyer, healthcare advocate and MaineHealth volunteer. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 763-3553.
