ACLU Civil Liberties summer intensive for HS Juniors and Seniors in DC

By Maggie Trout | Mar 17, 2017

Held at Georgetown University:  "In classroom sessions, lectures, and daily debates, students will explore the complex nature of defending and advancing civil liberties as well as examine the importance of these freedoms in our current society. Students will be immersed in the real world of political and legal decision making in Washington, D.C., meeting with elected officials and community organizers as well as participating in workshops with civil rights pioneers and other current youth activists."  It is not inexpensive, but scholarships are available.  (Note that the 2016 speakers are shown - not those for 2017 at this time).
