Bees Deluxe

Rockland — The Monday Night Blues series continues May 29 with a 7 to 10 p.m. concert by Bees Deluxe in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission will be $10 at the door.

Bees Deluxe is a full-tilt, acid blues/funk/rock collective comprised of Boston-based musicians. Their repertoire includes floorboard-stomping originals and 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s covers from Little Feat, The Meters, Billie Holiday, Derek Trucks, Donny Hathaway, Amy Winehouse, Steely Dan, B.B. King, Etta James, ZZ Top, Robben Ford, Muddy Waters, Bonnie Raitt, Curtis Mayfield, Albert King, Bobby 'Blue' Bland, Jimi Hendix, SoulLive, Derek and the Dominoes, Roy Buchanan, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, among many others.

Digging deep into the vaults of blues/jazz antiquity, these musicians discover and share off-the-beaten songs and instrumentals and fuse them into their own original works.

Next up in the weekly series are: June 5, Danielle Nicole Band ($15); June 12, Alexis P. Suter Band ($15); June 19, Paul Deslauriers Band ($10); June 26, Frank Bang Band ($10); and July 3, Murray Kinsley & Wicked Grin ($10). Shows are subject to change.
