Lois Sprague

Zephyrhills, Fla. — Lois E. Sprague, of Camden and Zephyrhills, Fla., joined grandson Chris and other relatives in heaven Nov. 8, 2020. She was born in Millinocket March 24, 1935, and raised in West Enfield, by adopted parents Della and Chester Currie. She graduated from Howland High School in 1952 and from the University of Maine Farmington in 1956. She taught in public schools for 30 years, retiring from MSAD 28, Camden in 1988.

She was happily married to Earl D. Sprague for 61 years. She is survived by husband, Earl; son, Eric and his wife, Sydney, and granddaughter Elizabeth, of North Berwick; and son, Jon and his wife, Yayoi, and grandsons, Darren and Patrick, of Williamsburg, Va.

Lois was a lifelong devout Catholic and enjoyed being a member of the Catholic Women’s Club.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Good Hope, Camden, to the scholarship fund of that organization. Services will be held in June and will be announced. Condolences and memories may be shared at longfuneralhomecamden.com. Arrangements are with the Long Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Camden.
