Camden library adapts to changes

Facebook members can access Miss Amy’s story times and crafts, which are uploaded every weekday.

Camden — The Camden Public Library will extend its closure to the public into April, in alignment with the updated mandate issued by Gov. Mills.

The public is welcome to visit and the Camden Public Library’s Facebook page. The website provides quick links to the free film streaming service Kanopy, access to e-books and audiobooks from Cloud Library, and a list of links to online resources for everything from free Broadway performances to kids’ art classes.

From the Facebook Page, members can access story times and crafts uploaded every weekday, including Miss Julia reading from books about Maine’s history,as well as hosting a story time for grown-ups and reading selections from fiction and nonfiction books. Facebook can also access Throwback Thursday posts about local history.

The library’s young adult programs, like Girls Who Code and YA Book Club will be conducted over Skype and Zoom respectively. Contact Miss Loraine at for more details.
