Spring snow brings power outages

After a spring snow Monday night, 199 properties were without power the morning of March 24 in Knox County.

Two to four inches of snow was predicted for the coast, with four to eight inches predicted inland.

The snow that came down was wet and heavy.

Rockland, with 69 locations, and Rockport, with 67, were the two towns in Knox County with the highest number of power outages reported at 7:45 a.m. by Central Maine Power.

The following additional outages were reported:

Appleton: 18

Hope: 14

Warren: 4

Washington: 27
