The staff and board of directors realizes the services of MCSWC are a necessity for the communities that we serve. MCSWC is asking the residents and businesses in Camden, Rockport, Lincolnville and Hope to assist us with the processing of household waste and construction materials by keeping the following in mind: we have instructed our employees to keep distance from customers using the facility in order to keep the public and our employees safe. Please stay in your vehicle as much as possible as we are asking for limited contact with our employees.

As is our policy, all trash bags must be tied closed prior to disposal (yellow bags, all trash bag brands and carpenter bags).

For the landfill and brush area - including metal and sheetrock area - customers must be able to get the item out of their vehicle when they are on site; employees are not permitted to assist customers in this manner at this time. This includes any assistance with any trash, demolition, brush, TV’s and recycling.

Recycling area customers, pay close attention to separating your recyclable materials when distributing them in the available bins. An attendant may not be available to ask, so, if in doubt, throw it out, by placing a questionable item in regular household trash. It will be used one last time to produce electricity.

Customers are asked to follow the instructions of MCSWC employees for any matter not listed here.

Due to the rapid growth in the number of confirmed cases in our service area, Scrapdogs composting pilot program will suspend its drop-off and residential pickup services for one month, starting immediately. The company apologizes and hopes to resume services the week of April 12. Visit our website for more information:
