Public invited to participate in livestream school board meeting

CAMDEN — The Camden-Rockport School District will hold its scheduled school board meeting March 18 and is asking those who would like to attend, to view the meeting on livestream and participate by emailing questions.

The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. and can be viewed on the Schools Camden YouTubechannel. Viewers can email questions to Assistant Superintendent Deb McIntyre at debra.mcintyre@fivetowns.net during the meeting.

Agenda items for the meeting include an update on the construction of the new Camden-Rockport Middle School by Mary Beth Van Keuren, clerk of the works for the project, updates on COVID-19 preparation and the Camden-Rockport school district's 2020-21 budget.

Also included on the agenda is approval of new job descriptions.

One of these is for the new position of math instructional coach.The position will be shared between the Camden-Rockport and Five Town school districts to help address math needs that have been identified repeatedly over the past decade or so in grades K-12, according to the school board's Feb. 26 minutes.
