Farnsworth Art Museum closed through April 6

Mar 16, 2020

Rockland — The Farnsworth Art Museum is temporarily suspending all public activities – the galleries and library will be closed and all public programs, school visits and facility rentals are cancelled. The health and safety of its visitors, staff and volunteers is top priority, and museum staff is taking steps to do their part to respond to the present public health crisis. The Farnsworth plans to resume normal operations on Monday, April 6, and will continue to update the community as the situation develops.

The Farnsworth knows that museums are places of inspiration and solace even in difficult times. Staff look forward to rescheduling tours, programs, and events and to welcoming the public back safely to the Farnsworth soon. A reminder that while the museum is closed, you can still explore the collection on its website, shop in the online store, and even take a virtual tour of the Olson House and Farnsworth Homestead. Please visit farnsworthmuseum.org.

Please continue to check the website for updates, future changes, hours of operation, and additional potential closures. Farnsworth employees continue to work remotely. For general information, call 596-6457.
