Movie night at Dancing Elephant Feb. 21

Feb 12, 2020

Rockland — On Friday, Feb. 21, at 6:30 p.m., The Dancing Elephant hosts a screening of the movie "Brilliant Moon: Glimpses of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche" at 14 School St. The event is open to the public by donation.

"Brilliant Moon" tells the story of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, one of Tibet's most revered 20th-century Buddhist teachers. Known as the instructor of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Royal Family of Bhutan, his life and teachings were an inspiration to all who encountered him. Richard Gere and Lou Reed provide the narration for the film, recounting Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche's dangerous journey out of China and the subsequent spread of his influence around the world.

The Dancing Elephant is a community center for yoga, meditation, and art located in downtown Rockland. All programs are donation-based and available for all levels. For more information, visit or contact Rachel at or 594-1694.
