Weather Brief Nov 22, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - November 22, 2019 AM

After enjoying sunny and mild weather on Thursday, clouds have made a return Friday as an area of low pressure tracks north of New England. This will make for periods of light rain through the day with a steadier batch during the afternoon as a strong cold front moves through the region. Rainfall totals will be fairly light with most locations around 1/10" to 1/4". Winds will become brisk out of the west and northwest in the wake of the front with gust between 30 to 40mph possible as colder air moves back in to begin the weekend. Lows will dip into the 20s with winds chill values in the teens Saturday morning with highs down into the 30s despite the return of sunny skies. We are tracking another storm system that will move in for Sunday bringing another round of rain showers along the coast with snow across interior sections of Maine. We'll clear out for the early week as temperatures rebound back into the 40s. We'll continue to climb on Wednesday with highs around 50 as another round of rain moves in.
