Rockland library celebrates young artist, new mural panels

Nov 01, 2019
Winter Adams works on new panels for the Rockland Public Library hallway mural.

Rockland — Join Arts in Action and the Rockland Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate new panels created by young Rockland artist Winter Adams for the library's hallway mural. These new paintings were designed and painted by Adams, with the library staff's input and encouragement, and created as an independent project last spring.

Adams is a freshman at Oceanside High School, and was among the young artists who envisioned and participated in the creation of the original panels back in 2016. Her new panels will be added to the current mural.

Come celebrate her talent and commend her effort, care and commitment to community arts. The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St. This event is free and open to the public.

The Arts in Action mural program is hosted by the Flanagan Community Building/YMCA and run by artist Alexis lammarino. Arts in Action is a program of Rockland After-School Alliance (RASA) and supported by RSU13 Adult & Community Education with support from the ANONIMO Foundation.
