Camden library celebrates Halloween

Camden — The Camden Public Library will celebrate Halloween this year with two events.

The library will host its annual Halloween Spooktacular! Thursday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. Gremlins and ghouls of all ages are invited to dress in costume and attend this free family-friendly event. There will be supernatural stories, chilling crafts, and ghostly games. Spooky snack volunteers are needed; to help, call Miss Amy at 236-3440. For more information, visit

Pumpkin Palooza will let visitors share their creative carving genius Friday, Oct. 25 between noon and 6 p.m. Participants can bring a carved pumpkin, or carve it on-site in the Amphitheatre between 4 and 5 p.m. All ages and carving talents are welcome. Carved pumpkin can be entered into the contest to win prizes in one of the age categories: Family, Teen, and Adult. The pumpkin lighting will happen at 7 p.m. in the Amphitheatre.
