Collegeville, Pa. — Ralph Joseph Kelley, 82, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Paoli Hospital. He was the husband of Earlene (Beale) Kelley, to whom he was married for more than 61 years.

Born March 12, 1937, in Machias, he was a son of the late Maxwell Joseph and Rose (Drisko) Kelley. He was a graduate of Camden High School, class of 1954. After high school, Ralph earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from the University of Maine in 1958. He was employed at the Kellogg’s Co. and its subsidiaries from 1958 until his retirement in 1994.

Ralph had been an active member of Lower Providence Presbyterian Church since moving to the Collegeville area in 1981, and he served the church as a deacon, an elder, and comptroller. He enjoyed sailing, reading, history, serving his community and spending time with his family. He was an active member of the Jaycees for many years and was an active member of the Rotary Club of Norristown, Pa. He also served in Air National Guard Reserves for seven years. Ralph loved meeting and conversing with people everywhere he went.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Debora Lynne O’Hara and her husband, Mitchell, of Lutz, Fla., Alan Joseph Kelley of Middletown, Ohio, Lisa Marie Kelley of Malvern, Pa., Michele Kelley Turner and her husband, Jeffrey, of Royersford, Pa.; his brother, Gregory P. Kelley; his grandchildren, Shaelyn, Kristyn, Derek, Josh, Grace, Briannah, Morgan, Macy, Myles; and his great-grandchild, Landon.

He was predeceased by a brother, Lionel D. Kelley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his life celebration at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church, 3050 Ridge Pike, Norristown, Pa., where friends may greet the family from 9:30 to 10:45. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Camp CaPella (a summer camp for disabled individuals), P.O. Box 552, Holden, ME 04429, or to Lower Providence Presbyterian Church at the address above.
