Library foundation receives $50,000 grant

Jul 09, 2019

Rockport — The Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation has given a $50,000 grant to the Rockport Library. The grant pushes the private fundraising for the new library over the $1.55 million mark. According to Joan Welsh, co-chair of the Rockport Library Foundation’s capital campaign committee, the Foundation’s goal is to raise $2 million to match the town of Rockport’s $1.5 million bond.

The King Foundation was created in 1986 to support projects that address the underlying causes of social and environmental problems.
