Library hours to change in August

Jul 03, 2019

Rockland — Beginning Monday, Aug. 5, the Rockland Public Library, at 80 Union St., will have a new weekly schedule, opening one hour later in the morning. The change in hours will allow staff to provide better service and more outreach to the community.

The new schedule will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. The change was reviewed and approved by the Library Advisory Committee.

Staff will use the time prior to opening to collaborate with one another on projects or work on their own projects and programming initiatives, take advantage of online staff development opportunities, and increase community outreach.
