Weather Brief Mar 18, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - March 18, 2019

The week is off to a sunny but cold start with lows in the teens and highs in the 30s. This will continue on Tuesday with high pressure in place over the region. This high will slide east on Wednesday setting us up with more of a south and southwest flow, pulling in milder air with highs returning to the 40s. Clouds will increase Thursday as a clipper system dives in from Canada bringing rain to the coast Thursday night with snow for northern Maine. Rain will continue into Friday with high temperatures holding in the 40s and may become enhanced as the clipper phases with low pressure passing by offshore. If these two systems fully phase we could see hardy rainfall totals with 1" to 1.5" of accumulation. We'll clear out during the weekend high temperatures holding in the 40s.
