Weather Brief Mar 13, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - March 13, 2019

Spring is in the air with another sunny day Wednesday bringing high temperatures into the mid to upper 30s, to around 40 in some spots. Temperatures will drop back down into the  upper 20s overnight allowing for a chance of snow. Clouds and a slug of moisture are moving in along a warm front lifting through the region that will bring a trace to 1" of snow to the southwest quadrant of Maine including part of the Midcoast. This will melt quickly into Thursday as temperatures climb into the mid 40s with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will continue to stay mild into Friday as a broad area of low pressure moves in from the west, driving in warm air along south winds with highs nearing 50. The low will drag a cold front into the region bringing scattered showers to the Midcoast through the day Friday with accumulations staying low, around 1/10".

Cooler air will filter in during the weekend but it will be slow to reach the coast allowing for highs to reach the 40s and low 50s again. We'll see gradually clearing with mostly sunny skies back by Sunday with highs down to the 30s. The sunny weather will continue through the early week with highs back around 40 by Wednesday.
