Weather Brief Mar 06, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - March 6, 2019

Clouds are rolling through the Midcoast Wednesday signalling a reinforcing shot of cold air over the region that will continue to drop temperatures heading into Thursday with lows down into the single digits and highs again in the low 20s. High pressure will be building in from the west during this time keeping our weather quiet with a mix of sun and clouds again on Thursday then mostly sunny conditions on Friday bringing highs back around 30. The warming trend will continue into Saturday with highs in the mid 30s with morning clouds along the coast as a storm passes by offshore.

The second half of our weekend will be more active as an area of low pressure moves in from the west pushing a round of winter mix into the Midcoast. This will start out as snow around the midday hours but increasing south winds will help to raise temperatures into the mid to upper 30s, changing snow to rain for much of the Midcoast. Precipitation will end by sunrise Monday but the warm air will continue to work in with highs in the 40s. We'll clear out and cool down heading into the mid week.

Don't forget to 'Spring Ahead' Saturday night as we move our clocks ahead 1 hour.
