Weather Brief Feb 15, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - February 15, 2019

The Midcoast saw a winter mix changing to soaking rain on Friday that helped to melt away the recently snow we saw earlier in the week as temperatures climbed into the upper 30s and low 40s. Skies will gradually clear into Saturday as the storm moves out to the east and high pressure builds in from the west. This will lead to the return of sunshine for the weekend as cold air gradually filters in dropping highs back into the low to mid 30s by Saturday and 20s on Sunday.

Clouds will increase late in the day Sunday as an area of low pressure tracks in from the west. This low will slide over the Gulf of Maine through Monday pushing a round of light snow through the Midcoast. The exact track and intensity is still up in the air at the time of this update Friday afternoon, but it looks like it will be around 3 inches or less. We'll see clearing on Tuesday with quiet and cold weather continuing Wednesday followed by another chance for snow Thursday.
