Dickerson hired as town manager in northern Maine

Limestone — Former state representative and former Rockland City Councilor Elizabeth Dickerson has been hired as town manager for the northern Maine community of Limestone.

Dickerson confirmed Sunday, Dec. 30 that she had been hired for the top administrative post for Limestone.

The Board of Selectmen hired her Dec. 21. She will begin the job in a few weeks.

Dickerson served two terms on the Rockland City Council, elected in 2008 and 2011. She was elected to the Maine House in 2012, representing Rockland and Owls Head in District 93.

She was re-elected to the House in November 2014 but resigned a month later to move to Colorado. She has since lived in the Pagaso Springs, Colo., area.

Limestone is located on the Canadian border, north of Presque Isle.
