Weather Brief Oct 03, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - October 3, 2018

Clouds were slow to clear Wednesday in the wake of the wet start we had this week. We'll see continued clearing as we head into the early night but clouds will build back in on Thursday as a cold from moves in from the west. Ahead of this front, highs will climb into the 60s once again with a few spotty showers possible late in the day. The best chance for rain will be over northern and western Maine with a lot of these falling apart before reaching the coast. Cooler air will spill in along breezy north winds behind the front Thursday night dropping lows back down to the 40s and 50s with highs holding in the 50s for much of the Midcoast Friday despite sunny skies.

The cool and sunny weather will continue to start off the weekend but a surge of mild air will work in on Sunday as highs climb into the 70s with parts of southwest Maine possibly reaching the low 80s. Cooler air will filter back in for early next week with another warm up expected for the late week.
