Portland — Prudence A. Leach, known to friends as "Terry," passed away Aug. 25, 2018, at the age of 70 years.

Born in Camden Dec. 17, 1947, Terry was the last child of Lawrence O. and Myrtle E. (Stinson) Leach. Independent to the core, she lived life by her own standards, loved animals unconditionally, had a strong appreciation for music and art, and always had to know "why." She also found great comfort in her Christian faith and could often be found studying her Bible.

Terry was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Cairine C. (Leach) Whitten and Margaret E. (Leach) Stoddard; a brother, Norman M. Leach; and her son, Guy S. Leach.

She is survived by her daughter, Whitney Christie, and her husband, Dale, of Vermont; a close niece, Vickie Pierce, of Westbrook; and her extended family and dear friends.

At Terry's request, no services will be held. Memorial donations in memory of Terry may be made to Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, 217 Landing Road, Westbrook, ME 04092.
