Liz Donald of Camden is among the Midcoast artists juried into River Arts’ “Summertime” exhibition.

Damariscotta — River Arts invites the public to view its most recent exhibition, “Summertime,” with an opening reception Friday, July 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. Bob Keyes, juror and art writer for Portland Press Herald, selected 100 works including sculpture, photography, collage, painting, ceramics, fiber and fine craft — representational and abstract.

Midcoast artists whose work was selected include Melissa Kelly, Belfast; Liz Donald, Camden; Molly Mugler, Cushing; Petrea Noyes, Pamela Whitt and Lesley Kristeller, Lincolnville; Leslie Woods, Montville; Sally Stanton, Northport; Roberta Baumann, Rockland; Holly Smith and Diana Dion, Rockport; Sandi Cirillo, Searsport; Dianne Horton, Swanville; Geoff Bladon and Victoria Pittman, Tenants Harbor; Michael Moseley, Thomaston; Valerie Greene, William Bracken, Brooke Pacy and Bernadette deCesare, Waldoboro.

During the opening, River Arts also will be selling more than 200 pieces of 6-by-6 inch artwork created and donated by Maine artists and community members as a fundraiser.  Each piece is $20 and red dots will be pre-sold in the first half hour of the opening, so buyers will be able to claim their purchases when the walls are revealed at 5:30 p.m. The selection of work covers all media.

Also, on Friday night, the West Gallery will have a Carol Jaeger-curated show of “Black and White” works.

River Arts is located at 241 Route 1. For more information call 563-1507, email info@riverartsme.org and visit riverartsme.org. River Arts is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
