The season-long program at Guini Ridge Farm, 310 Commercial Street, Rockport, is open to children ages 6 to 10 who would like to learn how to plant, grow and harvest gourds, pumpkins and flowers in our straw-bale demonstration garden. Participants will get a chance to plant their own seeds, them come back to plant the seedlings in their own straw bale. They will come back again to learn about pests and diseases that can affect their plants and finally, harvest their gourds and pumpkins in late September.

Saturday June 2, 2 p.m. – Planting seedlings

Saturday July 14, 10 a.m. – Pest and disease discussion
