Family Resource Hub reduces hours

Apr 12, 2018

Rockland — Community Partnerships for Protecting Children, a program of Broadreach Family & Community Services, has established a room on the lower level of the Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St., called the Family Resource Hub that offers resources to families. The hub's hours have been cut from four days a week to three: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, the program is looking for individuals to volunteer to open the Family Resource Hub during the evening.

The Family Resource Hub has information on what is happening in the community and at the library, as well as pamphlets and information services in the community that families may be able to tap into if they are in need. Perhaps a parent needs to use a phone, a computer to print something, search for mental health or other services, or just wants to sit and have a cup of coffee and peruse the resources while their child plays in the children’s corner. There is no cost for these services. Case managers and others working with families are also welcome.
