CAMDEN — With nomination papers due April 13, five residents have taken out papers for two open seats on the select board.

Nomination papers have been taken out by Jenna Lookner, Taylor Benzie, Dorothy Foote, John Lewis and George Pilgrim. Lookner has returned her nomination papers.

The open seats are currently held by John French and Lookner. French is a long-time member of the select board, and currently chairman.

Lookner is serving a one-year term on the select board. She was elected last June to finish out the three-year term held by her late father, Leonard Lookner.

Four Camden residents have taken out papers for one three-year term on the SAD 28/Five Town CSD Boards. Lynda Chilton, who currently holds the school board seat, has taken out papers, as have Edward Geis, Patrick McCaferty and Amanda Strong.

Jonathan Beitler has taken out papers for a three-year term on the personnel committee.

Nomination papers are due back to the town office by Friday, April 13, prior to 3:30 p.m. They must be signed by at least 25, but no more than 100 persons, who are registered to vote in Camden.
