CAMDEN, ME, DECEMBER 10, 2020 – Press Release – Matthew Levin, Director of Hotels for the Bay View Collection, presented a check today to Kate O’Halloran, Executive Director of The LifeFlight Foundation, and Dan Bookham, a member of the LifeFlight Foundation Board of Directors. The donation of $800.00 is in support of the organization’s mission which is to provide access to critical care and medical transport to every person, in every community of Maine.

The donation was a result of 16 Bay View’s ongoing “Lift Off For LifeFlight” campaign. Guests who choose to participate receive a 50% discount off their two or more-night stay, and in exchange for this significantly discounted room rate, guests make a minimum donation of $35/night to LifeFlight of Maine. This offer began in early October and continues through April 30th, 2021.

Lift Off For Life Flight is just one of several giving campaigns that the Bay View Collection is offering this fall and winter. At Grand Harbor Inn they are offering a similar discount to guests in support of Area Interfaith Outreach (AIO) Weekend Meal program, and at Lord Camden Inn, they are supporting Habitat for Humanity with their “Hospitality for Habitat” special offer.

“I was pleasantly surprised to see how much we raised in such a short period of time with our Lift Off For Flight campaign,” says Matthew Levin. “With the devastating impacts of COVID this year on the hospitality industry, and with so few people traveling, my heart was warmed by the kind and giving nature of our guests who were willing and able to visit Camden and contribute to this worthwhile initiative”, Levin further stated.

“This type of fantastic community partnership is one of the things that is so special about Maine; we find creative ways to help and support one another, often when we need it the most. We are deeply grateful to our friends from The Bay View Collection for selecting the LifeFlight Foundation as the recipient of their generosity. The people of Maine need LifeFlight more than ever, so these donations will have a tangible impact on our ability to continue to answer the call for help” said O’Halloran.

The LifeFlight Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that provides fundraising and public relations support to LifeFlight of Maine. Supported by the generosity of the many friends of LifeFlight, the Foundation raises funds for aircraft, medical equipment, hospital helipads, statewide aviation improvements and educational outreach programs.
