Press Release – Matthew Levin, Director of Hotels for the Bay View Collection, presented another check today to Anna Dugal, Director of Development for the LifeFlight Foundation. The donation of $350.00 brings the total amount to $1,300 that 16 Bay View Hotel has given in support of the organization’s mission which is to provide access to critical care and medical transport to every person, in every community of Maine.

The donation was a result of 16 Bay View’s ongoing “Lift Off For LifeFlight” campaign started back in November of 2020. Guests who choose to participate receive a 50% discount off their two or more-night stay, and in exchange for this significantly discounted room rate, guests make a minimum donation of $35/night to LifeFlight of Maine. This special offer continues through April 30th, 2021, afterwards we will continue to support LifeFlight with our “Roundup For Charity” program, which allows guests to round up to the nearest dollar their total stay at check-out. Every penny we collect between now and the end of the year will be donated directly to LifeFlight.

“Lift Off For Life Flight” is just one of several giving campaigns that the Bay View Collection is offering this fall and winter. At Grand Harbor Inn they are offering a similar discount to guests in support of Area Interfaith Outreach (AIO) Food Pantry Weekend Meal Program that has raised $1,000 so far, and at Lord Camden Inn, they are supporting Habitat for Humanity with their “Hospitality for Habitat” special offer, which has raised over $850 so far this year.

“I continue to be amazed by the overwhelming generosity and support of our guests who have participated in this special offer and am so grateful that we are able to continue to donate to such a great local organization with our Lift Off For LifeFlight campaign,” says Levin. He further said, “As we have started to see an uptick in reservations for this season, we are very optimistic that we will see continued support from our guests to support LifeFlight through our Round Up For Charity campaign that will be ongoing thorough the rest of this year.”

Quote from Anna Dugal… “We are so thankful for the continued partnership and generosity of the Bay View Collection and their guests.” says Dugal. “Maine residents and those who come to visit our beautiful state rely on LifeFlight for emergency, critical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 16 Bay View and the Bay View Collection are helping to ensure that LifeFlight is there to provide skilled care and swift transport for those patients when and where they need us.
