Winona Faye Harvey of Waldoboro was named Crown Princess. She is the daughter of Yancey Harvey and Sarah LaPorte, and a 2016 homeschool graduate. She plans to attend the beauty school at the Capilo Institute in Augusta, with the intention of eventually owning her own salon.

Peyton Elise Feener of Rockland was named Miss Congeniality, a title voted on by the other contestants. She is the daughter of Shawn and Lisa Stanley-Pearse and a 2013 graduate of the Wayfinder School. She is passionate about music and plays drums in her band, drive by todd. Her future plans are to become a well known musician, actor and bartender.

A total of 13 Sea Princesses competed this year for the title of Maine Sea Goddess. Six-year-old Eden Tyler of Camden was Crown Bearer.

Dan Bookham again served as emcee, introducing each of the Sea Princesses. Members of the Rockland Coast Guard and the U.S.S. Oak Hill escorted the contestants during the coronation.

Brian Plourde, president of the Maine Lobster Festival Association, and Sharon Lombardo, Festival Executive Committee member, spoke during the event.

Rockland Mayor Louise MacLellan-Ruf was on hand as well.

"Taps" was played by Ames as the memorial wreath was placed honoring those lost at sea.

King Neptune and his Royal Court presided over the event.

Ames accepted the crown from 2015 Maine Sea Goddess Jacquelyn Thorbjornson.
