100+ Women Who Care (September Meeting)

Community Happenings
Watts Hall
174 Main Street, Thomaston, ME
Sep 03, 2019
5:15 PM - 6:30 PM

Our third meeting of 2019 will be on Tuesday, September 3rd starting at 5:15pm. Joining us for the first time? Read below to learn more about 100+ Women!

We’re an informal group of busy women who love Knox County and the communities of Waldoboro and Lincolnville. Our group supports the work that local non-profits do by raising funds, exposure, and awareness – in a minimal amount of time. Inspired by more than 400+ Women Who Care chapters around the United States and Canada; we have created a local philanthropic group of women from all walks of life, teaming together to have fun while giving back.

We meet four times a year at Watts Hall in Thomaston, Maine.
(March 5th, June 4th, September 3rd & November 5th)

Here’s all you have to do:

1. Show up. Make new friends or catch up with old ones. Enjoy snacks and wine.
2. Bring a blank check for $50. (You can always give more.)
3. Listen. We will draw the names of three pre-nominated non-profits from Knox County at random at each meeting. (You can nominate an organization at the beginning of the meeting when you check in!) A member of each organization will make a 5-minute presentation (informal & from the heart) about how our members’ contributions will support their cause. The non-profit organization with the most votes receives all the checks, which members will make out before the meeting concludes.
4. Vote.
5. Smile. You just did something pretty powerful and amazing!
6. Repeat. Four times a year, for a total commitment of about four hours.

Fast. Simple. Effective. Women working together really can do just about anything! Interested in becoming a member? Visit http://www.onecommunitymanyvoices.org/100-women-who-care-knox-county/ to register!
