A vote on June 13 to reelect Emmy Trask-Eaton to the RSU 40 School Board is a vote for a person deeply committed to the education of children and youth in very turbulent times. She's served on the school board for six years and seeks a third term to support policies that enrich public education and the academic aspirations of students.

Born and raised “Downeast," Emmy is a retired doctor and long-time resident of Waldoboro. She's been a life-long advocate of public education and along with her husband raised two daughters in the school system. Throughout her professional life she also taught music and voice, and for a period contributed her skills when RSU 40 lacked a music teacher.
