Thelma Gilnack Niederfringer, 93, died Dec. 13, 2009, at a Longmeadow, Mass., nursing home.
A native of Connecticut, Thelma was born and raised in Glastonbury and lived in Newington for many years. Later in life, Thelma and her husband, Carl, lived, for more than 25 years, on the seacoast of Pemaquid Point. There, Thelma was active in the New Harbor Willing Workers Club.
Thelma was a loving wife, caring mother and friend to many.
Her loving husband, Carl, predeceased her in 2009 after 63 years of marriage.
Thelma is survived by two sons, Stephen and his wife, Janet Niederfringer of Wilbraham, Mass., and Arthur Niederfringer of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Linda and her husband, William Caval of Deep River, Conn., and North Palm Beach, Fla.; two granddaughters, Susan and her husband, Robert Allen of Madison, Conn., and Julie and her husband, Michael Grenier of Somers, Conn.; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are with Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St. in Damariscotta. A burial at the convenience of the family will take place in New Harbor.
