Clearing has begun for the road leading to the new regional nursing home, Breakwater Commons.

ROCKLAND — The site of a $19.5 million regional nursing home is being cleared in preparation for construction.

Construction equipment is clearing trees where the road from Old County Road will lead to the rear of the property where Breakwater Commons will be built. The formal groundbreaking is expected to be held in the next few months.
