    A 43-year-old Owls Head man was arrested Feb. 8 following a case in which police said he was "burning his tires" so excessively that his pickup truck caught fire and the fire then spread to a commercial garage.     All-terrain-vehicle crash kills Union man

    One person died Feb. 9 following an all-terrain-vehicle crash in Union. Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison said the victim was Joel McMurray, 51, of Union, who was driving south on Barrett Hill Road Feb. 9 when his ATV hit a snowbank.     The death of 19-year-old Ian Sanborn of Waldoboro was ruled an accidental drowning, the Medical Examiner's Office said Feb. 12.     The Feb. 7 stabbing of a Warren man may have been the result of the homeowner's refusal to provide a guest with more beer.
