ROCKLAND — A car struck Jess’s Market on Sunday afternoon, May 7, causing considerable damage.

The crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m. when an elderly man driving a Hyundai Santa Cruz turned into the parking lot of the market at 118 Main St. The man, who has a prosthetic leg, hit the wrong pedal and accelerated into the building, Rockland police reported.
