ROCKPORT — Come out and enjoy A Winter Jambourrée Thursday, Feb. 2, from 5 to 10:30 p.m. at Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St., as a kickoff to the U.S. National Toboggan Championships’ weekend festivities.
This evening of creative musical expression highlights incredible local and abroad talent, with a mix of genres including folk, jazz, world, blues and rock ‘n roll with master musical puppeteer MC extraordinaire Tree Sampson. A portion of the concert proceeds will be donated to the Knox County Gleaners.
Schedule of performers: 5 p.m., Mill Street Singers (Folk Choir); 6 p.m., Bay Chamber Jazz Ensemble (Jazz / Swing Quintet); 7 p.m., Andre Lascoutx (Americana / Country Quartet); 8 p.m., Bone Broth (Gypsy Jazz / World); 9 p.m., Louisa Stancioff (Folk Indie); and 10 p.m., Jon LaDeau & Railheart (Rock ‘n Roll, Rhythm & Blues).
