ROCKLAND — Rockland police arrested a 73-year-old Virginia man Wednesday Jan. 18, charging him with sexual assault.
Joel Becker was taken to the Knox County Jail in Rockland on a charge of Class C unlawful sexual contact.
The complaint had been reported to the police at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17. The complaint was investigated, resulting in the arrest.
He is being held without bail at the jail until he makes his initial appearance in the Knox County court. That may occur Friday afternoon, depending on whether the courts are open due to the pending winter storm. More information will be released upon his initial court appearance.
