Readers are reminded that an arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

On Tuesday, Jan. 10, Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett reported the following arrests involving residents of Knox County for the period of Jan. 1 to Jan. 10.

Camron D. M. Hopkins, 23, of Rockland was arrested Friday, Jan. 6 by Deputy Matthew Ryan at Lincoln Academy in Newcastle on a Knox County warrant for failure to appear on a domestic violence terrorizing charge.

Brandon E. Amborn, 26, of Rockport was arrested Saturday, Jan. 7 by Deputy Joseph Booth on Upper East Pond Road in Nobleboro for criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.

Sheriff Todd Brackett also reported one car crash involving a Knox County resident.

Michael Diaz, 35, of Rockland was involved in a crash on US Route 1 in Nobleboro on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Diaz said he was driving south in his 2019 Jeep Compass when he was distracted by something in the road, possibly an animal. Diaz said he swerved and drove off the road onto the grass shoulder.

Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
