BATH — The Oceanside of Rockland and Camden Hills of Rockport wrestling teams trekked south for a four-team high school mat meet at Morse on Wednesday, Jan. 11, as the Mariners and Windjammers pinned down team wins on the night.
The Mariners went 1-2 with a win over Oxford Hills of South Paris 42-42 (on criteria), while also falling 48-27 to the Windjammers and 42-38 to the host Shipbuilders. The scores for the Windjammers’ matches against Morse and Oxford Hills were not available.
The individual Oceanside results, with Mariners listed first, were:
106 pounds — Maddie Ripley pinned Kaiden Webster, Mor; pinned James Terry, OxH; and won by forfeit over Camden Hills.
120 pounds — Phoenix Martinez pinned Patrick Mead, Mor; beat Bryce Atkisson, OxH; and pinned Aaliyah Ten Broeck, CH.
132 pounds — Gavin Ripley beat Sean Bonzagni, Mor; pinned Kendall Kovales, OxH; and beat Landon Pease, CH.
145 pounds — Jacob Barstow pinned Jacob Ouellette, Mor; pinned Jordan Pollock, OxH; and was pinned by Michael Rollins, CH.
160 pounds — Nathaniel Small beat Bradley Creamer, Mor; beat Bryce Hazelton, OxH; and was pinned by Justin Batty, CH.
170 pounds — Joseph Brown, Ocean, pinned Ashford Hays, Mor; and was pinned by Eithan Afriat, OxH.
182 pounds — Brown, was pinned by Reilly Turner-Watts, CH.
195 pounds — Michael Matthews, pinned Garrett Craney, Mor; was pinned by Christopher Levesque, OxH; and pinned Cecil White, CH.
220 pounds — Max Crute won by forfeit over Oxford Hills.
