WATERVILLE — Camden Hills Nordic skiers began their regular season on Saturday, Jan. 7 at Quarry Road as the Windjammers turned in strong performances on the trails.

By day’s end, the Mount Blue of Farmington girls and Quarry Road Ski Club boys collected team wins, while the Windjammer girls finished sixth among 11 and the boys ninth among 14.

The boys team scores were: Quarry Road Ski Club 786, Gould Academy of Bethel 772, Mount Blue 750, Yarmouth 726, Leavitt of Turner 690, Maranacook of Readfield 665, Greely of Cumberland 664, Oxford Hills of South Paris 597, Camden Hills 543, Orono 512, Mount Abram of Strong 441, Falmouth 354, Edward Little of Auburn 336 and Spruce Mountain of Jay 284.

The girls team scores were: Mount Blue 786, Orono 731, Yarmouth 723, Leavitt 719, Greely 662, Camden Hills 660, Maranacook 639, Oxford Hills 466, Gould Academy 374, York 315 and Spruce Mountain 275.

The individual Windjammer girls results included: 26, Brenna Mackey, 23:09.9; 35, Lea Zwecker, 24:50.4; 38, Amelia Porter, 26:11.4; 45, Cara Rothwell, 28:02.1; 46, Siena Scordino, 28:06.1; 49, Lucy O’Brien, 28:27.5; 51, Natalie Gill, 28:33.1; and 59, Liana Talty, 30:21.8.

The individual Windjammer boys results included: 50, Henry McDevitt, 18:56; 68, Iain Larsen-Leavins, 20:46.4; 70, Hadrian Ward, 21:01.8; and 73, Cameron Pinchbeck, 21:59.4.
