Mariners, Panthers back on track at usual home, namely Bowdoin College

BRUNSWICK — Oceanside of Rockland and Medomak Valley of Waldoboro indoor track athletes were back in action on Friday, Jan. 6 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference high school meet in Farley Field House at Bowdoin College.

The girls team scores were: Cony of Augusta 88, Lewiston 87, Lawerence of Fairfield 68, Waterville 65, Oceanside 39, Nokomis of Newport 39 and Skowhegan 20.

The boys team scores were: Lewiston 141.5, Cony 86, Skowhegan 50, Waterville 49.5, Nokomis 43, Medomak Valley 35 and Oceanside no score.

The individual results for Mariners and Panthers were:

Boys 55-meter hurdles — 1, Josiah Hays, Med, 8.63.

Girls 55 meters — 3, Reese Novicka, Ocean, 8.28; and 17, Hallye King, Ocean, 9.42.

Boys 55 meters — 8, Josiah Hays, Med, 7.17; 10, Will Rush, Med, 7.2; 15, Aiden Sergent, Ocean, 7.41; and 22, Owen Post, Ocean, 8.0.

Girls mile — 2, Alayna Marchessault, Ocean, 6:58.06.

Girls 400 meters — 2, Cassidy Novicka, Ocean, 1:07.13.

Boys 400 meters — 14, Owen Post, Ocean, 1:09.83.
