ROCKPORT — Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St., introduces a new winter performance series featuring local artists. The performances showcase local talent and highlight the best that Rockport Opera House has to offer. The Sweet Chariot Music Festival Sampler Jan. 21 will showcase the resounding acoustics. The film screening of “Oshima Brothers Dark Nights” March 3 utilizes the projection system, and on April 28 the Dance Party with The Watts Hall Band utilizes the ability to push the seating to the side and transform the space to a dance hall.  The Rockport Opera House is a multi-function facility and welcomes the opportunity for the public to experience the space in a variety of ways.

The Sweet Chariot Music Festival Sampler Saturday, Jan. 21, from 7 to 10 p.m. brings the week-long summer festival to the stage for one night.
