SKOWHEGAN — Oceanside wrestlers continued their strong early campaign with two wins in a road high school tri-meet on Wednesday, Jan. 4.
The Mariners wrestled Erskine Academy of South China, host Skowhegan and independents from Lawrence.
Oceanside beat the Eagles 54-15 and River Hawks 51-30.
The individual Oceanside results, with Mariners listed first, were:
106 pounds — Oceanside and Erskine Academy had a double-forfeit; and Oceanside forfeited S. Noyes, Skow.
113 pounds — Maddie Ripley lost to W. Pooler, EA, 8-1; and won by forfeit over Skowhegan.
120 pounds — Phoenix Martinez pinned P. Hunter, EA; and pinned T, Shields, Skow.
126 pounds — Clay Whited pinned O. Robichaud, EA; and pinned M. Foss, Skow.
132 pounds — Hunter Davidson won by forfeit over Erskine Academy and Skowhegan; and was pinned by C. Nadeau, Law.
138 pounds — Gavin Ripley pinned G. Smith, EA; and won by forfeit over Skowhegan.
145 pounds — Jacob Barstow won by forfeit over Erskine Academy and Skowhegan; and was pinned by A. Darling, Law.
152 pounds — Oceanside and Erskine Academy had a double-forfeit; and Oceanside forfeited to A. Clark, Skow.
160 pounds — Joseph Brown won by forfeit over Erskine Academy; and pinned B. Smith, Skow.
170 pounds — Nathaniel Small won by forfeit over Erskine Academy; was pinned M. Welch, Skow; and lost by major decision to C. Darling, Law, 11-2.
182 pounds — Oceanside forfeited to T. Parlin, EA; and Oceanside and Skowhegan had a double-forfeit.
