ROCKLAND — A fire crew responded New Year’s Eve to a utility pole on fire on Camden Street in Rockland.
There were flames and smoke visible from the top of the pole on Camden Street between Bay View Square and Philbrook Avenue. Rockland firefighters responded at about 9 p.m. on Dec. 31.
Traffic cones were set up as the crew waited for the arrival of Central Maine Power. Utility workers arrived at about 9:30 p.m. The fire crew left at 9:43 p.m.
No power outages were immediately reported.
