THOMASTON — Walmart closed shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21 after a report of a gas smell.
The building was evacuated and arriving customers were turned away at the entrances.
The fire department said that the smell associated with propane was detected. The store’s heating supplier was called and a fire truck remained at the scene.
