ROCKLAND — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will be hosting free workshops, entitled Essentials of College Planning, for adults 19 and over.
Virtual workshops will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 2, 3 and 4 p.m. (College Financial Aid and Student Loans, 2 p.m., drop-in, 3 p.m. and Financial Aid 4 p.m.), Friday, Dec. 30 at 10 and 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. (College Financial Aid and Student Loans 10 a.m., drop-in, 11 a.m. and Financial Aid 12 p.m.) and Friday, Jan. 6 at 2, 3 and 4 p.m. (College Financial Aid and Student Loans, 2 p.m., drop-in, 3 p.m. and Financial Aid 4 p.m.)
In-person workshops will be held at the Rockland UMA Center, 91 Camden St., on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

MEOC is funded entirely by the U.S. Department of Education. The program helps qualified adults make the transition towards a college education. MEOC, which is housed at the University of Maine, provides assistance to adults living in Maine and helps them go to whichever college or university they choose.
