CAMDEN —The 16th annual ‘Ringing in the Season’ holiday handbell concert was presented to a live audience Saturday, Dec. 3 in the sanctuary of First Congregational Church of Camden.
This year’s program featured performances by Choral Bells of the First Congregational Church of Camden; Penobscot Bay Ringers and Penobscot Bay Ringers Ensemble of Camden; handbell soloist Debra Hall of Rockport, and guest musicians Kay Allan, cellist, of Thomaston, and Luke Baker, drummer, of Washington.
The free-will offering collected at the end of the performance is always given to a local charitable organization. This year, a donation of $1,356.00 was collected for the St. Bernard Soup Kitchen. Amy Rollins, concert organizer, recently presented the donation to Rich Norman, executive director of the St. Bernard Soup Kitchen.
