The Senior Christmas Joy project is collecting donations for people in long-term care and assisted living facilities this holiday season. Donations can be deposited at four donation boxes around Knox County. Items to donate include cash, dolls, stuffed animals, slippers, fuzzy socks, scarves, lap robes, blankets, puzzles and puzzle books, stationary supplies, adult coloring books, chocolate and similar items.
Donation boxes are located in Thomaston (Camden National Bank, 188 Main St.), Rockland (Camden National Bank (300 S Main St.), Union (the Town Office, 567 Common Road) and Hope (the Hope General Store, 449 Camden Road).
