ST. GEORGE — The township of St. George invites area families to share the holiday spirit and “Light Up St. George” to spread good cheer and celebrate the season by decorating homes, boats, businesses, organizations, neighborhoods and harbors.
To see the bright lights and enjoy holiday displays at more than 40 St. George locations, drive down the peninsula along Route 131 between 4-7 pm on Friday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 10 and look for the numbered “Light Up St. George” signs.
Visitors are also invited to support the following St. George restaurants and eateries that will be open for eat-in dining or take-out/curbside pick-up that weekend — Ancho Honey (Fri/Sat, take-out until 7 p.m.) and the Quarry Tavern at the East Wind Inn (Friday/Saturday dinner, 5-8:30 p.m.), both in Tenants Harbor; Village Ice Cream (take-out) in Port Clyde; and Causeway Restaurant at the Craignair Inn, Spruce Head (Friday/Saturday dinner service, reservations recommended). Please call or email businesses directly to verify hours, menus, and availability.
